What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathy, or naturopathic medicine, is a complementary approach to healthcare utilising diet, lifestyle factors, herbal medicine or nutritional supplementation. Naturopathy is the practice of preventing, assessing and treating conditions on a physical, mental and spiritual level. Naturopathic medicine empowers and educates the individual to promote health and wellbeing by combining evidenced based natural medicine with traditional naturopathic principles.
How can it help me?
Naturopathy can assist with bringing you back to good health naturally by relieving symptoms and providing ongoing wellness. An initial consultation will last between 45 minutes to 1 hour and will include a thorough case history and any appropriate naturopathic tests to assist in preparing an individualised treatment plan. A naturopathic consultation and treatment plan may include:
- Recommendations for diet and lifestyle, nutritional supplementation, herbal medicine and other natural remedies (e.g. flower essences, celloid minerals).
- Naturopathic testing (e.g. Hemaview (live blood screening), iridology, zinc testing, pH analysis, Indican testing (evaluates bowel health) urine analysis and heavy metal testing, candida and gluten intolerance testing.
